Canvention 41 has come to an end. Covington, KY played host to a great show. The Northern Kentucky Convention Center was a fabulous location to have the buy, sell and trade sessions. The host hotel, Marriott River Center was not only a beautiful hotel, the staff was very accomodating to over 300 breweriana collectors and the occaisonal loud beer drinker. Room to room was steady over the course of 4 days. Plenty of hospitality in the beer stations made the conversations flow too.
Numerous sales and some great finds took place at CANvention 41. Our White Horse guy was able to share some cans with members from across the country. Frank Krone was able to sniff out a Reisch Crowntainer with IRTP markings and better yet, on the 3rd day of the show. Nice job Frank!
The events taking place were pretty normal for the BCCA and included on Wednesday a tour of a local brewery, a golf outing and even trip to a local MLB game at Great American Ballpark, the home of the Cincinnati Reds. Thursday started the buy, sell and trading days on the convention trading floor with lots of room to room trading as well. A business meeting and micro night taste sampling of a dozen local micro brewery beers. Friday concluded the trading on the convention floor to members only and a party hosted by the Jersey Shore Chapter with a theme of pirates finished our night. Saturday we opened the hall to the public and signed up dozens of new members who wanted to join the BCCA.
